ABC Outcomes

Thanks to the ABC, care providers are being trained and accredited, helping families rest with the assurance their children are being cared for in safe, healthy environments under the supervision of well-trained providers. Programs are being created specifically for 10-15 year-olds-a group of children who were falling through the cracks between home, school and child care. Backup care is now part of the child care landscape, giving employees and others another option besides calling in sick when child care arrangements are interrupted. And while elder care was barely on the radar screen as an issue for employers in 1992, it's now a central part of the dependent care mix thanks to ground-breaking programs and research funded by the ABC.
